Recovery
Terms & Conditions

1. National Recovery Services is included in the monthly subscription received from the client. The period of service varies according to option plan.

2. Recovery is billed from time of activation request until 1 hour after the vehicle is recovered. Should the client request our recovery team(s) to remain on scene with the vehicle for whatever reason and this causes our recovery team(s) to exceed the agreed 1-hour post recovery, then the client will be required to cover the costs of the recovery team(s) additional time spent with the vehicle at a rate of R1250,00 per hour (One thousand two hundred and fifty), per recovery team. Any time exceeding 15 mins in any hour is considered as a full hour and billed as such. (Example: 1,35 hours = 1 hour 35 minutes will be billed at 2 full hours)

3. The costs of any additional services requested by the client, and which do not form part of our supplied services, will be for the client account. These services will include the following: Towing, Mechanical repairs, Roadside Security above the 1-hour post recovery, locksmiths, Safe Storage, additional fuel etc.

4. Recovery service is free provided the client’s account is current and up to date. Should the clients account be in arrears, an Ad-Hoc recovery rate will apply.

5. Ad-hoc recovery rate will be billed at R9500,00 (Nine thousand five hundred rand) per recovery. (Points 2, 3 & 4 above will apply)

6. Recovery services will only be activated in the event of theft or hijacking. We reserve the right to request a valid SAPS CAS number from the client in this regard.

7. Should our recovery services be activated by the client for a false complaint, we reserve the right to bill for this activation at a fixed rate of R3500,00 (Three thousand five hundred rand) per activation. There is a grace period of 15 minutes, after activation, for the client to cancel any false activation. Should the false activation be cancelled within this timeframe, no charges will be levied to the client.

8. Any additional services will first need to be approved by the client or one of his listed emergency contacts prior to us going ahead. A verbal consent from the client or emergency contact is considered binding and all calls are recorded.

9. Should we recover a vehicle and be unable to contact the client nor any of his listed emergency contacts, the client agrees to give Cape Town Tracking and its registered recovery companies permission to remove the vehicle from the scene of recovery and transport it to a place of safekeeping until such time as contact can be made with the client. All additional costs ie. Towing and Safe Storage will be for the clients account and payable on collection of vehicle.


10. In the event of us carrying out services as described in point 8 above and the client remains uncontactable for a period exceeding 30 days, the storage facility reserves the right to sell said vehicles in order to recover costs.


11. A detailed report with colour photos will be available after each recovery. These reports can be emailed to the client at no additional costs.
